Quiet Waters Park

The Quiet Waters Park, which has 431.4 acres, has to be among the best parks in the Deerfield Beach area. It features many different things to do, including the Splash Adventure water park, a marina that has boats for rent, mountain bike trails, and campgrounds. Another favorite feature is the Ski Rixen USA, which offers cable water-skiing. Visitors can trick-ski, slalom, wakeboard, kneeboard, or surf – and all without a boat. Bike riders can also ride the 7.1 miles of trails – with all levels of skill available. There is also a bird and butterfly sanctuary in the park.

Deerfield Island Park

The Deerfield Island Park provides visitors with a scenic tour through the marsh waters where wildlife and swamp fauna can be seen. The park is only accessible by boat, and a shuttle boat leaves every hour to take tourists around the park. Wildlife includes alligators, snakes, raccoons, turtles, armadillos, and many types of birds. Visitors can hike the half-mile Coquina Trail, explore the waterways by kayak or paddleboard, see various programs, or even go geocaching. The Butterfly Garden is also available.

 

Deerfield Beach Arboretum

Besides being called the Deerfield Beach Arboretum, this nine-acre park is also called the Tree Park. This is because it has more than 200 trees from all over the world. All of them are placed alongside a walking path that is also wheel-chair accessible. Altogether, there are more than 325 different trees. A rain forest has also been added to the park with a waterfall. Tours of the park and of a nursery are available for free on Friday and the first Saturday of the month.

Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex

The 15-acre Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex provides many opportunities for people who love sports and being active. It has two football fields, two basketball courts with lights, two baseball fields for youth, and a walking trail. There are also plenty of things to do indoors,  including a full-size gym, and a game room that has table tennis, pool, Foosball, and PlayStation games. Various table games are also available.

Constitution Park

When you are looking for a variety of outdoor activities for the family, the Constitution Park can provide your family with a variety of choices. The park offers a playground with a rock climbing wall, and more. For sports, there are tennis courts and a full basketball court. Three pavilions are also available, a picnic area, as well as a gazebo. Special programs for youth and adults are available, including basketball teams, softball, after-school programs, Jiu-jitsu, Zumba, and more.

Village Of Hillsboro

The Village Of Hillsboro is a park that has about 10 acres of fun for the family. It includes a playground for the kids, tennis and basketball courts, and a volleyball court. There is also a trail for walking or jogging, and for inline skating, and it has 12 fitness stations. A free boat dock is also available that goes into the canals, which leads to the Everglades.
